Step by Step Instructions
1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2013.
2. Click on File in the top left menu. Under Account Information, select Add Account.
3. Select the option for Manual setup or additional server types.
4. Choose POP or IMAP.
5. Fill in your name and complete email address in the User's Information section.
6. Choose Account Type and select IMAP.
7. Here are the incoming and outgoing servers for SSL and NON-SSL.
NON-SSL
Incoming server: mail.domain.com
Outgoing server: mail.domain.com
(replace YOUR domain name accordingly)
SSL
Incoming server: serverhostname
Outgoing server: serverhostname
(serverhostname refers to the name of the server that hosts your email.)
serverhostname can be found in your web hosting control panel's server information section. )
8. Enter your email address and password in the Logon Information section and select Remember password.
9. Next, click on More settings... as shown in the screenshot below.
10. In the Outgoing server tab, select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
11. Navigate to the Advanced tab and modify the port values according to your preference for either SSL or NON-SSL.
NON-SSL
Incoming IMAP: 143
Outgoing for IMAP: 587
SSL
Incoming IMAP: 993
Outgoing for IMAP: 465
NOTE: If you opt for SSL settings, make sure to check the box for This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL).
12. Click on the OK button.
13. Finally, click Finish to complete the setup of your email account in Microsoft Outlook 2013.
