Q : Why will my smartermail mail prompt the almost expire notification while the smartermail license due date from billing is still beyond the due date of notification received ?
A : It is because we are subscribed the smartermail lease license from the vendor which are renew in monthly basis.
Q : How smartermail license worked?
A : Smartermail license's server validate the smartermail license of each subscriber by IP and server hostname. Any not tally result will causing the licensing issue as well.
Q : Why are we pay the subscription fee in annually basis but receive such notification ?
A : As we mentioned that the licensed we purchased from vendor is renew in monthly basis although client are paid in annually basis.
Q : Will it affect my smartermail and mail services ?
A : No, as the license will auto renew before the expiration due date
Q : What to do while receive the email or notification of license expiration?
A : May carry out the step below as try to reactivate your license by yourself. Usually it is common license conflict error, do advice to contact our technical support (server-support@exabytes.com ) to check further.

- Log in to SmarterMail as the system administrator. The default username is admin and the default password is admin.
- Click the Settings icon.
- Expand the Activation folder in the navigation pane.
- Click Licensing in the navigation pane.
