It is advisable to update your password at least once a month to maintain optimum security and avert hacking attempts. Additionally, the strength of your password is also vital. An effective password that incorporates both letters and numbers can significantly decrease the likelihood of hacking. Conversely, a weak password is more susceptible to breaches, potentially resulting in the loss of critical information.
1. Log into your cPanel account. Once logged in, the Menu page will be displayed.
Under “Preferences,” find “Password & Security.” Click on it to proceed to the
“Change Password” page.
2. On the “Change Password” page, you need to complete the empty fields to modify your password. Enter your current password along with your desired New Password. Pay attention to the password strength as it is essential for security purposes.
3. Utilize the Password Generator if you desire the strongest possible password. Make sure to note down your new password, as it can be quite hard to remember.
4. After submitting, a confirmation notification will appear.
