WHOIS Contact Details update for Top Level Domain Name

As of December 1, 2016, ICANN began implementing a new "Domain Transfer Policy," which changes the procedure for transferring domain ownership from one registrant to another.

Whenever a registrant change occurs, this policy is activated, and a sequence of confirmation and approval emails is initiated. It is crucial to understand that even minor modifications to a registrant’s first name, last name, organization, or email address for a specific domain will also trigger the same series of notification and confirmation emails.

(1) Please DO NOT make any updates to your Whois contact details if you intend to transfer your domain name away from us (Exabytes), as this will result in a 60-day Domain Transfer Lock, during which your domain name will be completely locked by the registry for 60 days.
(2) Please DO NOT proceed with any Whois contact details update if your current registrant contact email is no longer valid.

Does any of the statements above apply to your situation? If so, please reach out to us at domain@exabytes.com for assistance regarding your Whois contact details update.
