Announcement - SGNIC Registry Platform Maintenance

Dear Customers,

Warmest greetings from Exabytes!

We wish to inform you that SGNIC will be undergoing a revamp of its registry platform. As part of this endeavour, we anticipate scheduled downtime on 23 March 2024 (Saturday) from 0000hrs to 1000hrs (SGT). You may refer to SGNIC's official announcement here.

During this scheduled downtime, we regret to inform you of the following:

Exabytes will be temporarily unable to carry out registrations of all .SG domain names, as well as modifications.

  • Modifications to domain names will be temporarily suspended.
  • Access to the VerifiedID@SG portal for domain registrant verification and the WHOIS function on the SGNIC website will be temporarily unavailable.

Please take note of the following key points:

(i) We strongly advise you to ensure that your domain names are renewed before the aforementioned date to avoid any disruptions. Renew your .SG Domain Now by logging into your Billing Account.

(ii) Active and Deleted domain names will be migrated as they are; while expired domain names will be placed into RedemptionPeriod (after which, restore fee will be applied in order to reinstate the domain name). You are advised to renew the needed domain names prior to migration to prevent incurring additional costs.

(iii) If you anticipate the need to make modifications/any necessary domain verification to your domain name/s, we recommend planning ahead prior to the aforementioned date. Otherwise, you may experience delays until the migration process is successfully completed.

(iv) Rest assured that there will be no downtime affecting your active status domain names during the migration process, as DNS configurations will remain unchanged. The migration process involves seamless transfer between systems.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition period. Should you have any further inquiries or require assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].

Thank you for your continued support.

Best Regards,
